Beautiful Hillside Cemetery, called New Alexandria Cemetery, St. Rt. 151 is in the forground. Across the hill on the other side sets the town of New Alexandria. David Garfield Maxwell my grandfather, was the Mayor there for three consecutive terms. He took care of the cemetery and was on the Board of Directors for the Cemetery. David and his wife Ina Rhea Kline Maxwell are both buried in the cemetery. My father Joseph E. Maxwell their youngest child & myself visited the cemetery in July 2004. It is a beautifully kept cemetery and has a wonderful view of the country side.

Union Cemetery, Steubenville, Jeff. Co. Oh. Orlando P. Clifton 1843-1909 Clara J. Clifton 1858-1908 Orlando P. Clifton, s/o Theodore & Margaret Harlan Clifton, b. November 07, 1843. OVI Marker: O.P. Clifton, Co. A. 157th. Ohio Inf. Clara J. Hout was born in 1848 not 1858, she married December 28, 1865 Jeff. Co. Oh. The date on her stone is wrong. She would have only been 7 yrs. old when married. Her first child was born in 1867. Marker for Infant, Susan J. Clifton 1888-1889

Farlin G. Ball, removed from Richmond, Jeff. Co. Oh. and moved to Juda, Green Co. Wisconsin. Farlin & wife, Elizabeth were found in the 1860 US Census Juda, Green Co. Wisconsin, the town of Jefferson, living with his daughter Ruth & husband David Watts. Farlin was 79 a farmer born Ohio, Elizabeth, 64 born Ohio. All their children were born in Richmond, so they must have left after 1836. Many of their children remained in Jefferson County and some other removed to Wisconsin, two other sons removed to California and Iowa. Marriage Intent of Farling & Elizabeth Moors Ball. On record Jefferson Co. Oh.
