Conda Clay Roberts, b.March 17, 1894, d.October 13, 1979 m. September 09, 1915 to Christina "Tennie" Harris. b. March 18, 1895, d. November 07, 1967. Condie & Tennie lived in Jefferson Co. for many years, as did his brother-in-law Warren Garland & wife (Conda's sister) Icie (Roberts) Burdette. They lived in Mingo Jct. Conda's son Winfred "Bucky" Roberts, was walking down the railroad tracks with his father picking up coal that falls from the passing trains. For some reason either he did not hear the train or he was caught in the tracks but was killed by the train. He was about 17 or 18 years of age. This was about 1937.
