I have in my posession a copy of notes from my gggrandparents William L. Rouse and Permelia Blazer Rouse. I thought maybe it should be posted on your web page. When I transcribed it, I tried to keep the spelling etc.
I, Mrs. Permelia (Blazer) Rouse, was born in the state of Penn in the
year 1810, June 27. My father immigrated from NJ. their birth home in
1809 to Penn. they were married in NJ. in 1803. My mother's maiden name
was Catherine Haden My father's name was William Blazer.
My Grandparents on my fathers side were raised in NJ. also my
Grandparents on my mothers side were raised in NJ. My grandmothers
maiden name was on my fathers side Singer. My parents immigrated from
Penn to Ohio in 1815. Grandmothers name on my mothers side was
Vanwinkle. I was married in Ohio in Dec. 17, 1829 we remained in Ohio
until 1850 then we moved to Iowa we remained there till 1854 and then
came to Cal. remained in Cal till 1865 then moved to Oregon to visit our Daughter staid (sic) one year and then came back to Cal an brought our daughter with us. we landed in Cal Marysville on the 26 of June 1866 and have rem. in Cal ever since My Great Grandfather on my mothers side came from England and Greatgrandmother on my mothers side was from Germany My Great Grand father and Grand mother on fathers side was from Germany. My mother died in Indiana Perry County in June 1880 being about 98 years old. My father died in the same state and county in 186l being about 80 years old. My Grand father on my fathers side died in Belmont county Ohio being 81 years old. Grand father on mothers side was 95 when he died Grand mother on mothers side was 100 years old. both in Penn. My grand mother on fathers side died in N. J. 1808 being about 45 My Parents immigrated from Ohio to Indiana with their youngest daughter in 1860 who remained with them until they died. My youngest sister married a man by the name of Benj. Snider her name was Phoebe.
I Wm Rouse was born in Ohio Jefferson county near Smithfield in 1809
My mothers maiden name was Polly Lemasters she was born in Maryland. My
father was born in Maryland was one of the first settlers in Ohio he was married twice his first wifes maiden name was Polly Abb. my mother Polly Lemasters being his second wife. My parents were over 80 when they died in Ohio
My father died in June 1849
My mother died in Jan 1847
