WILLIAM H. FERGUSON, died at the home of his brother, Thomas D. Ferguson, on South Fifth street, at eleven o'clock Wednesday night, of heart failure, aged 74 years. He was complaining of disease like the grip for two weeks but was taken suddenly and without warning while seated in a chair. Mr. Ferguson was born near Knoxville, but lived nearly all his life in Steubenville. He was married to Mary J. Myers of this city, she dying 36 years ago. One daughter, Mrs. William Swearingen of Effingham, Ill. survives; his four brothers, Joseph, Thomas D. and George of Steubenville and ---- of Walkers. The deceased was a carpenter and car builder and was employed for years in the Panhandle shops. He had made his home with his brother, assisting him in his store for some years. He had been a member of Kramer M. E. church since 1855 and in that time was a class -------- Steward and Trustee. He was also a member of Good Will Lodge I. O. O. F., and was a good citizen.
