WILLIAM A. BELL, son of John Wheeler Bell, entered into rest at his home at New Alexandria Friday morning, November 25th, at 2 o'clock. He was born April 22, 1864. He will be greatly missed in the community. For the past five years he was janitor at the M. E. Church of which he was a member. He was caretaker of the cemetery for five years and town marshal for six years. He bore his suffering with patience and he leaves to mourn his loss his aged father, one brother and four sisters. The funeral service was conducted at the M. E. church on November 27 by Rev. Weese of the M. P. church. His favorite hymns were sung by the choir and after the remains were viewed by a large concourse of friends and neighbors the casket was quietly borne to his last resting place in Tent cemetery.
