THOMAS R. McMILLAN, a well known and highly respected resident of this county died at his home in Emerson, on Sunday evening May 14, in the 67th year of his age. He had been in ill health for about four yea and his death was due to a complication of diseases. Deceborn in Cecil county, Md., and when still a boy moved to Emerson with his parents. He married Julia Ann Evans, of Mt. Pleasant township, who died some time ago. Deceased was a consistent member of the Hicksite branch of the Friend's church and was a man honored by all who knew him for his sterling integrity. Five children, Mary Inez, Henry I., George Addison, Charles P., and Eleanor, wife of George W. Walker, survive to mourn his loss. The funeral took place Tuesday at 2 p.m. and was largely attended, the pall bearers being W. A> Walker, Mahlon McMillen, Edw. T. Furby, Charles F. Scott, Arthur W. Evans and. Channing Evans.
