MRS. SUSAN BEARD, wife of Joseph M. Beard, died at her home near Irondale at noon today aged 75 years. She had been in poor health for many months, but had been dangerously ill only a few days. Mrs. Beard was born in Brush Creek township, and has resided in the northern part of the county all her life. In 1848 she was married to Joseph M. Beard, and they celebrated their golden wedding last September. Mrs. Beard was a woman who was beloved and respected by all who knew her, and was a member of the M. E. Church and a consistent Christian. Two children survive, Oliver J. Beard, Esq., of this city and Mrs. James Paisley of Irondale.
