PETER WEATHERALL, died at his home, 310 North street, at 2:50 o'clock Saturday, aged seventy-four years, the inciting cause being grip, though for several years he had been in falling health; he was confined to his bed only three days. He was born in County Durham, England, March 1825, and was married to Frances Hann fifty-three years ago. They came to this country thirty-two years ago and had lived nearly always in Steubenville. He was in the retail liquor business for a number of years and more recently was a liquor inspector. His wife and one daughter ----------------in England survive. The deceased was ------all his dealings and generous to the poor. He was a staunch Democrat and never denied the faith. He was well known and respected by ------ of Steubenville, and we take this opportunity of saying he was well worthy of the esteem in which he was generally held.

The dashed represent the areas of the paper that were no legible.
