PATRICK GIBBONS, Lily, Pa., Signal--an aged resident of this place, died Tuesday morning from diseases incident to old age. The deceased was born in County Lietriem, Ireland, sixty-three years ago. When but a boy he left his native land and went to England, securing employment in the mines at County Thornley, Durham. Here he married Mary Farrell and a short time after he again emigrated, this time coming to Steubenville, O. He came to Lilly in 1889, where he made his home until the time of his death. In politics he was a staunch Democrat. He was well versed in history, being able to give the dates of all the important events and names of those who participated in them without a monument's hesitation. His funeral took place on Thursday morning from his late residence, when after a High Mass of Requiem for the repose of his soul by the Rev. Father O'Callahan the sad cortege wended their way to St. Bridget's cemetery, where his remains were interred. He is survived by his wife, two sisters, Mrs. Annie Wynn, of Steubenville, O., and Mrs. Mary Mooney, of Brazil, Ind., also the following children: John, Patrick, Edward, Joseph, James, Stephen, Mary and by one granddaughter, Miss Mary Logan, who makes her home with the family.
