MARGARET THOMPSON, 79, of Owego, N.Y., a former Steubenville resident, died at her home at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday following an extended illness. She was a member of the Daughter's of the American Revolution of Owego and Florida, Catholic Daughters of America of Steubenville and St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Owego. Surviving are two sons, Richard Thompson Sr. of Warren, and John Thompson Sr. of Owego; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was born Sept. 18, 1905, in East Brady, Pa., a daughter of the late George and Mary H. Young Graham. She also was preceded in death by her husband, James Thompson, in July 1983. Friends will be received at Holy Rosary Catholic Church one-half hour before Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Friday, Monsignor James C. Marshall, Mount Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to one's favorite charity. The Mosti Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
