MRS. MAY BAIR, Mrs. E. M. Bair, nee May Nelson, a life long resident of Jefferson county, passed away at her home at Stop No. 9, near the old Country Club, at 1:35 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, March 7th, following an illness of only two days. Mrs. Bair was in her usual good health until Sunday night when she was stricken with a bad cold and death resulted less than forty-eight hours later. She was aged 36 years 10 months and 7 days and was born in Steubenville, and educated in the schools here. Aside from one year spent in Oklahoma Mrs. Bair has spent her entire life in this county. She was a member of the Christian church of Toronto and was a woman of splendid christian character and loved by all who knew her. The daughter of ex-county commissioner and Mrs. Charles Nelson, she was married November 3rd, 1903 to E. M. Bair and to this union eight children were born. Left to mourn her loss are her husband and the follwoing children: Chas., William, Mildred, Chauncey, Mary Ellen, Helen, Harry and George, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Nelson and four brothers and one sister as follows: Roy and Elmer of Steubenville, Monroe at the home place and Lawrence of Garber, Okla. and Mrs. Ed. Schugt of Steubenville.
