LILA FLORENCE PURVIANCE PHILLIPSON, 94, died Friday at the Harrison County Home in Cadiz. She was a former Bloomingdale area resident and a Steubenville native. She was Protestant by faith. Surviving are one son, Roland of Hopedale; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was born September 15, 1886 in Steubenville, a daughter of the late Thomas H. Purviance and Alice Lowmiller Purviance. She was the grandaughter of the late Dr. Thomas Harlan Purviance and Sarah Maxson Purviance. She also was preceded in death by her husband William, two brothers, and three sisters. Friends may call at the Blackburn Funeral Home in Hopedale today 2-4 and 7-9; services there Monday at 2 p.m., the Rev Bill Lawson officiating. Burial in Fairview Cemetery at Jewett.
