JOSEPH BRITT, Brooke County's oldest citizen has passed away. Joseph Britt, of Buffalo District, who has enjoyed this distinction, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Thomas Wells, of Buffalo District, at 5 p.m. Thursday, August 10. Mr. Britt was taken seriously ill on Sunday, the sixth. Funeral services will he held at 2 p.m. ---------------- at Kadesh chapel. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Britt was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Britt, and was born in Brooke County almost 95 years ago. All his life was passed there. He never married, living with his parents till their death and later with his sister, Mrs. Wells. One brother, Bazil, of Mingo Junction, O., also survives him.
