GUY J. FORCONE, SR., Guy J. Forcone Sr., 80, of Steubenville, died Tuesday, April 7, 1998, at Weirton Medical Center.

He was born March 8, 1918, in Steubenville, a son of the late Camillo and Felicia Daniella Forcone. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah (Sally) Kughn Forcone, in 1987; a brother, Raymond; and a sister, Jennie Iccabucci.

He was a craneman in the strip steel department at the National Steel Corp. before his retirement in 1977 after 40 years of service he was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, the Polish National Alliance, the Moose and American Legion Argonne Post 33. He was a veteran of World War II.

Surviving are two sons, Guy J. Jr. and William J. Miller, both of Steubenville, three daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Sally) Easton of Steubenville, Mrs. Richard (Patty) Lyons of Wintersville and Mrs. Michael (Betty) Kenefick of Steubenville; a brother, Michael of Steubenville; a sister, Mrs. Louis (Sis) Panebianco of Wintersville; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 7-9 Thursday at the Mosti Funeral Home, 321 S. Fourth St. Funeral Liturgy without Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Monsignor George Yontz officiating. Interment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. A vigil service will be held Thursday at 3:45 p.m.
