GEORGE BICKERSTAFF, aged 60 years, son of Enos and Albie Bickerstaff, died Sunday at the Ohio Valley hospital at 6:30 o'clock of cancer of the stomach. He was a life long resident of Steubenville, a member of the LaBelle View Christian church, the Masonic order, and the Odd Fellows; also a member of the Knights of Pythias of Wellsville. He was for years employed by McGowan Brothers and recently worked at the filtration plant. He is survived by his wife Hattie Harrison Bickerstaff, a daughter Grace, brother Joseph of Mingo, and one sister, Mrs. Charles Schultz, of Niles, Ohio. The remains were taken to Lindsey's Funeral home and they will be removed to his late residence, 1412 Oregon Avenue, this evening. No paper recorded.  Return to the Obituary Index
