FREDERICK KARLIN, aged 23 years, was laid to rest on Friday last in the U. P. cemetery at Mooretown, under the burial service of the order of Knights of Maccaees, Rickard Tent, of Alliance, O. This young man was kicked on the elbow by a horse a year or more since, from which injury started a cancer which extended to the shoulder and down the body, side and breast. He went to the Lakeside hospital of Cleveland and had the arm amputated at the shoulder. The shock was too great for him and he died in the hospital from the result of the operation. About twenty of his comrades from Alliance and Bergholz attended the funeral in a body. His remains were brought to his father's home, from which the funeral took place.
