EDGAR PURVIANCE, Funeral services for Edgar P. Purviance, 75, of 102 South Heath Street, a native of Jefferson County, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Rader Funeral Home, West Jefferson. Burial will be made in London, Ohio. Mr. Purviance died at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in University Hospital, Columbus after a lengthy illness. Mr. Purviance resided in the Richmond and Bloomingdale vicinities before moving to West Jefferson eight years ago. He was a retired farmer and a member and former employe of the Jefferson County Farm Bureau; he was a member of the First Methodist Church of West Jefferson, and the Madison County Farmer's Club. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Mary Lewis Purviance; two daughters Mrs. Chester (Dorothey) Morgan of North Royalton, Ohio and Mrs. Thomas (Lucille) McCall of Columbus, three grandchildren, five brothers, Arthur Purviance of Jewett, Harry Purviance of Richmond, Frank Purviance of Wintersville, Paul Purviance and G. Earl Purviance, both of Weirton and a sister, Mrs. Leroy (Pearl) Higgins of Richmond. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Mr. Purviance was born July 10, 1887, near Richmond, Ohio, a son of the late William B. and Nancy Ann Purviance.
