ENOS BICKERSTAFF, died at the home of his son, D. O. Bickerstaff on Linden Avenue Saturday night at 7:45 o'clock. He had been sick for one month with pneumonia and heart trouble. He was born in Steubenville township and was the son of Wm. and Susan Bickerstaff, early settlers in this vicinity. He was married January 2, 1854 to Abigail Arbaugh, and they have lived in this city and township ever since, with the exception of two years in Brooke County, W. Va. The following children survive: Geo. H. of Wellsville; Mrs. Anna Schultz and Mrs. Hattie Elwood of Mineral Ridge. The following brothers and sisters survive: Ellis of McKeesport; Augustine, John, W. M., Mrs. John Nelson and Mrs. Annie Curfman of Steubenville township; Lewis and Mrs. Mary Kidd of Steubenville. The deceased was an attendant on the M. E. Church all his life. He served in the Second O. V. I. and was a member of E. M. Stanton Post. Funeral on Tuesday at ten o'clock a.m. from the home of his son on Linden Avenue.
