MRS. ELIZABETH B. HARTER, widow of the late Wm. Harter of Steubenville, died at the residence of her son, Wm. H. Harter, 603 North Fifth street, this morning at 10:45 o'clock. Mrs. Harter had been sick for one week with pneumonia which followed a case of grip. She was born in New York City, June 1, 1823, and was married to Mr. Harter in 1845. She had lived here since 1852. Four children survive, Mrs. Ella Vink of Baltimore; John and Wm H. of Steubenville and Chas. of Chicago. One brother, Dr. W. G. J. Shepherd of Fort Pain, Ala. and one sister ---------of New York survive. The deceased was a member of the First M. E. church and a woman of excellent Christian character.
