MRS. BERTHA W. PURVIANCE, 86, of 628 North Third Street, died Thursday at 8:40 p.m. in the East Liverpool Convalescent Center. She was a seamstress in the East Liverpool area until her retirement and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Eva Saner of Toronto. She was born August 30, 1884, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late William J. and Katherine Ann Carnahan Weidner. She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel T. Purviance; three brothers, John, George, and William Weidner, and four sisters, Hester Weidner, Emma Connor, Katherine Weidner and Amelia Weidner. Friends may call at the Clarke Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Services there Monday at 1 p.m./ The Rev. Richard Phelps, burial in Toronto Union Cemetery.
