CHARLES F. SCHUBERT, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Forrest Williams, 405 Union Avenue, Thursday at 5:30 p.m. after an illness of four weeks. He would have been 84 years of age had he lived until June 11, 1939. He was born in Germany and had resided in Steubenville 13 years. He was a former resident of Salineville. His wife who was Mary Solter, died 24 years ago. Surviving are these children; Mrs. Mary Lantner of Salineville; Mrs. A. W. Buchhagen and Mrs. Forest Williams, of Steubenville; Mrs. Howard Smurthwaite and Charles of Weirton; Mrs. Frank Montgomery and Mrs. William Paul of Steubenville; Mrs. Mandel Brashear and Freda and Inna of Cleveland; 19 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Andrew Walbaum, of Steubenville; a brother, Max, at Indianapolis. He was a member of the Lutheran church. He worked at coal mining years ago. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias lodge. He was an industrious and respected citizen.
