MRS. CATHERINE BOWERS, aged 76 years, widow of William Bowers, who has been dead 35 years, died at her home, 153 South High street, at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 23, 1915. She was a native of St. Clairsville, coming here only three years ago. Dropsy, with which she had suffered for a long time, was the cause of death. Many years of her life were spent in Wheeling. Mrs. Bowers was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal Church, and joined the denomination at the age of ten years. One son, Harry L. Bowers and two sisters, Mrs. L. J. McMechen of West Virginia and Mrs. M. E. Crago, Wheeling survive. The remains will be taken to St. Clairsville for interment.
