BERNARD L. DUNLEVY, Wintersville-Bernard L. "Red" Dunlevy, 81, of Wintersville, formerly of Steubenville, died Tuesday, April 7, 1998, in Trinity Medical Center West. He was born in Bellaire on July 2, 1916, to the late Owen and Margaret (Gallagher) Dunlavey. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Eugene, Francis and Gerald Dunlevy; three sisters, Mary Lopeman Pickens, Catherine Dunlevy and Margaret Imelda Dunlevy; and a grandson. He retired from Weirton Steel Corp. as a caster and was a member of the Weirton Steel 25 year Club. He was a longtime member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Steubenville and recently joined Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Wintersville. Surviving are his wife, Irene E. Wright Dunlevy; eight sons, James of Fairmont, Bernard of Springfield, Va., Michael of Columbus, Patrick of Canal Winchester, Christopher of Weirton, Joseph of Wintersville, David of Hilliard and Kevin of Kent, Wash.; 22 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Wednesday and 8:15 to 9 a.m. Thursday at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral home, 215 Fernwood Rd. Funeral Liturgy without Mass will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Church with Monsignors George Yontz and Gerald Calovini officiating. Burial will follow at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
