MRS. BRIDGET KENNEY, died at her home 425 Logan street on Monday at 2:15 p.m. Her death followed three weeks illness with heart trouble and when the summons came it was unexpected. She was the widow of Thomas Kenney, who died in 1922. She was born in Steubenville and was the daughter of Michael and Hannah Lee Nee, early and well known residents here. These children survive: Sister Regina of St. Augustine Academy, Cleveland; Mrs. J. W. Lannan, Michael J., Thomas J., Anna M., all of Steubenville; John P., Martins Ferry; also a brother Patrick Nee of Steubenville and eight grandchildren. She was a devout member of St. Peter's church; also of the League of the Sacred Heart and the Altar and Rosary society, and very diligent in attendance on the means of grace. The family formerly resided in Chester, W. Va., where Mr. Kenney was employed on laying out the railroad extension, and Mrs. Kenney made many friends during her residence there. She was a woman of fine Christian character and personality, whose hospitable home was made gracious to friends. Her sphere of life was her home and there she was revered by her children and her many friends and the latter extend sympathy to those in the bereaved circle.
