AUGUST WILLIAM BUCHHAGEN, a former resident of this city, died at his home at Bantam Ridge on Sunday at 12:15 a.m. He had been in poor health for eight years. He was born in Steubenville and was 57 years of age on May 17, 1933. His parents, August and Fredericka Bothe Buchhagen are deceased. He was married to Elvina Schubert who survives with two sons, Harry L. and Robert A.; also three sisters, Mrs. Boston Sanders, Ima and Lillie Buchhagen; and one brother, Walter of New York City. He was a member of Zion Lutheran church. He had been a farmer for some years and he was a fine type of a substantial citizen. Rev. A. F. Schemmer of Steubenville and Rev. McVicker of Wintersville officiated at services for August Buchhagen at the home on Bantam Ridge on Tuesday. The interment was at Union cemetery.
