Herman Muesegaes Sr. Bloomingdale - Herman J. Muesegaes Sr.,75, of RD2, Bloomingdale, died early today at St. John Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was a farmer and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Amsterdam, Richmond Lions Club, Richmond Grange No.1750 and Unionport Lodge No. 333, F&AM. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Muenze Muesegaes; three sons, Herman Muesegaes Jr. of Bloomingdale, Fred Muesegaes of Westminster, Calif., and Rober Muesegaes of Douglasville, Ga.; one daughter, Mary Muesegaes of North Olmsted; one sister, Christine Schneider of Bloomingdale; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by one brother. He was born Sept. 26, 1911 in Deichausen, Germany, the son of the late Gustav and Freida Engel Muesegaes.
Friends may call at the Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home, Amsterdam, Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Rev. Frank Rothbauer; East Springfield Cemetery. Wake services 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
