Alanson FADDEN passed away on Sunday [February 22, 1920] ar 1:30 at the home of his daughter Mrs. SCHLOTTER, in Brilliant after a long and useful life of 88 years. Mr. FADDEN's birthplace was Vermont but he has been a resident of Brilliant for the last nine years. He was a member of the St. Agnes church, Mingo, and belonged to the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. A good neighbor and a fine citizen and the community will be saddened to hear of his death. Seven children are left to mourn his loss. Mrs. Charles STOLL and Mrs. SCHLOTTER of Brilliant; Mrs. Elizabeth BENWARE of Holyoke, Mass; Mrs. Agnes INDORF of Cleveland; William FADDEN of Holyoke, Mass; Alonzo FADDEN of Lowell, Mass.; and George [FADDEN] of Jersey City; also one granddaughter who made her home with him, Miss Florence ROBINSON.

Funeral services of Alanson FADDEN were held Wednesday morning [February 25] at 9 o'clock from the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. SCHLOTTER, in Brilliant. The Rev. Father DOOLEY, of Mingo, officiated. Pall bearers were: William SINCLAIR, Arch COX, John NEE, Charles STOLL, Leslie ROBINSON, and Mr. AIKEN. Interment was made at New Alexandria.
