WINTERSVILLE - Earl F. Muenze Sr., 65, of Reynoldsburg, formerly of Wintersville, died Monday at his home.

He was a retired employee of the sheet metal department of Weirton Steel Corp.; past district commander, past county commander and past post commander for the Stevens Christian Post of the American Legion; an Air Force veteran of World War II; an honorary member of the Knights of St. George of Wellsburg; a 4th - degree knight in the Father Bigelow Assembly; and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 472, the Weirton Steel 25-year Club and Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church.

Surviving are his wife, Lucille Paprocki Muenze; one son, Earl F. Jr. of Columbus; one daughter, Cecilia Sheets of Reynoldsburg; two sister, Ruth Muesegaes of Richmond and Martha Hosso of Martins Ferry; and three grandchildren.

He was born Aug. 27, 1920, in Martins Ferry, son of the late Frank and Tillie Friebertshouser Muenze.

Friends may call at McClave-Chandler-Mills Funeral Home, Wintersville, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday; Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church; Fort Steuben Burial Estates; Knights of Columbus services 7:30 p.m. Wednesday; wake services 8 p.m. Wednesday.
