C. LAUGHLIN, M. D., physician and surgeon, with offices at No. 100 N. Third Street, Steubenville, Ohio, may almost be claimed as a native son, although he was born at Summitville, Ohio. He was reared from infancy in Steubenville and obtained a public school education here.

Dr. Laughlin then attended Scio College, where he was graduated in pharmacy and from there entered the Baltimore Medical College and was graduated from that institution in the class of 1901, immediately locating at Steubenville. In 1909 Dr. Laughlin spent seven months in the great medical schools at Vienna, Austria, perfecting himself in some special lines. He engages in general practice and is the retained physician and surgeon for the La Belle Iron Works, the Pope Tin Plate Mills and the C. & P. Railroad. He has met with gratifying success in his practice and is already numbered with the leading men of his profession in Jefferson County.

Dr. Laughlin was married May 22, 1909, to Miss Ella B. Stewart, a daughter of Bryce Stewart, now deceased, Dr. Laughlin is a thirty-second Degree Mason and is a member of Lake Erie Consistory, Steubenville Commandery of Knights Templars, and is identified also with the Knights of Pythias, the Elks and the Eagles.
